The After School program for the 2013-2014 came to a glorious last page. On the last Thursday we cellebrated the beauty of these six months of hard work and, from time to time, great results. It was an opportunity to reward the efforts, both of the kids and the facilitators, and to encourage them to continue their journey in school with even better results.

We shared a (very) sweet cake, we played some games and watched some short funny – and educational – movies … Also, the kids received some prizes for their dedication in the program, for perseverance and for their behaviour during the lessons.

Here are some facts about the After School program for 2013-2014 at Metro Ministries Sighișoara:

Lenght of the program: 25 weeks, from 21th of October 2013 to 6th of June 2014

Educational level covered: grades 1-4

The staff involved over time: five adult instructors and one teenager volunteer

The total number of the registered kids: 32

The number of the kids who attended regularly: 18

The kids showing a significant progress in school: 11

In the next fall we will start the second year of After School program. It will be more challenging, considering the fact it will work with more kids (covering the grades 1-5), but we believe with God nothing is impossible …
